NHS 111 Option 2 puts you in direct contact with a team of mental health professionals based within our local health board.
Simply call 📞 111 and choose Option 2.
This service is available for: anyone with a mental health concern, anyone worried about the mental health of a loved one.
NHS 111 Option 2 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is free to call from mobiles (even with no credit) and landlines.
🚨 Where can I get urgent help?
- If you have already been given a crisis line number by a health professional, please call it
- If you are under the care of a mental health team and have a care plan, follow the instructions in that plan when you need urgent support
You can call NHS Wales 111 and select Option 2 if you or someone you know needs urgent mental health care that is not life-threatening.
🧠 NHS 111 Option 2 can help if:
- You have an existing mental health problem and your symptoms get worse
- You experience a mental health problem for the first time
- Someone has self-harmed but it does not appear to be life-threatening, or they are talking about wanting to self-harm
- A person shows signs of possible dementia
- A person is experiencing domestic violence or physical, sexual or emotional abuse – getting help for domestic violence and abuse
